Site Access – Camping

Site Access – Camping

The Mendip RC Raceway shares its access with businesses on the site. Please do not block the gateway or access roads.

The track is not manned at any specific times. To allow access when unmanned there are combination locks on the key access points. These combinations will be supplied prior to your arrival if requested. Combinations are changed regularly so be sure to make a note of the current ones supplied.

In the event the main gates are locked there is a key in a combination box on the left hand gatepost behind the hinged CCTV sign. Once you have unlocked the gate please make sure that the padlock and chain are secured to the gate so they will not get lost, and the key is returned to the key box and the key box is securely closed and the door is shut fully.

Tents, caravans and smaller camper vans can use the grass area to the left hand side of the track access road , we ask that larger motorhomes use the hardstanding car parking area adjacent to the on-road track, if using the car park area please park close to a fence and do not take up excessive space as this area will still need to be used for parking.

The area to the right of the entrance way (labelled camping and parking on the map) and the caravan pitches with water supply are not in use at the moment due to remedial works in progress. Do not use these areas or you will be asked to move.

The pit area can be accessed via the smaller pedestrian gate, this allows access to the toilets and the water tap. Those paying for camping or using the site for camping or members of their parties have no right of access, assumed or otherwise, to the tracks, car parks or pit areas of the Mendip RC Raceway facilities other than toilet facilities granted at the clubs discretion. All users of the site are bound by the club rules and the terms and conditions of use.

Note – Open fires are not permitted and there are specific rules in place for Barbeques.

Club Rules/Terms and Conditions

Note the track is not available to use for individuals who are not members of the club.

We would recommend keeping the main gates closed at all times but it is not necessary to lock the main gate if there are people on site. If in any doubt always lock the main gate, as authorised users will be able to unlock them. Once you have locked the gate please make sure that the key is returned to the key box and the key box is securely closed and the door is shut fully.

When locking the gate please make sure the bolt is in place and the chain secures the gates.
