Practice

Practice

It is now possible for club members to book practice days to use the track. Non-members and non-racers cannot attend the site at this time, with the exception of a single responsible adult supervising a Junior Member.

Due to the regulations and current guidelines from the BRCA there are several new procedures and protocols we have put in place to make this happen and as such we ask you to follow all the instructions given in addition to the standard terms and conditions of the club.

Users will need to book practice days via the website to enable the club to hold information for track and trace purposes. Any members found not to be doing so will be deemed to be contravening the Clubs rules.

Changes to current guidelines mean we can now allow booking for specific days as opposed to limited sessions. we are also able to remove limits on the number of people using the tracks. We are also moving to a more automated booking system so booking confirmations should be received much faster than under the manual system.

We would also ask that if you are able to use the track on a weekday that you consider doing so to enable those members who are unable to book a weekday space to practice at the weekends.

Please note; if you wish to use both tracks on the same day you will need to submit two booking requests, one for each track. As before you do not have a slot booked until you have received email confirmation for your booking. If you booking is declined please submit a booking for another day.

As always use of the tracks is at your own risk and we will insist that all guidelines issued by the relevant authorities are followed even if they are not listed below. Due to the serious nature of the restrictions placed upon us we, as a Club, will be taking any deviation from Government guidelines or the rules set by the Club very seriously. Please take time to read and understand the following.

  •  If you are exhibiting any symptoms of the Covid-19 virus you must not attend the site.
  • Bookings must be made via the form in the “Members Section” of the website.
  • You must bring a pit mat/pit towel to place on the bench whilst pitting, if you wish to use both benches in the bay please bring one for each bench.
  • The blue dividers must not be removed or adjusted in any way and must provide a secure division between each individual bay at all times.
  • Whilst there are hand washing facilities, due to a lack of hot water you will need to bring gloves and/or hand sanitiser to use whilst on site
  • Please ensure you have your membership card with you when visiting the track and be prepared to show your membership card if requested.
  • Social distancing of 2 metres should be maintained wherever possible between racers outside of family groups. This applies in the pits and on the rostrum.
  • Drivers should only marshal their own cars.
  • Only one toilet cubicle will be available for use and users are responsible for cleaning before and after use with your own cleaning products.
  • If you have Junior Members in your group please ensure they are under your supervision at all times and that they respect the personal space of others.
  • Users are still responsible for securing the site after use and all usual terms and conditions apply.

Please note, whilst we are not expecting any issues, to ensure the club complies with the regulations and guidelines it needs to operate within the site will be monitored by the committee and sanctions will be put in place against those that do not follow the instructions for using the track.
